Frequently Asked Questions

Is counselling covered by my extended health benefits?

Most extended health benefit plans cover services offered by a Registered Social Worker. It may be helpful to review the terms of your coverage, including your amount, renewal date and services covered. Kaitlyn is an MSW, RSW, which means she has her Master's level education in Social Worker and is registered with the OCSWSSW.

How do I pay for sessions?

At Restore Counselling and Wellness we do not currently offer direct billing. Individuals are required to pay via e-transfer or with a major credit card. Individuals will then receive a receipt which can be submitted to your insurance provider for reimbursement.

What can I expect from a first session?

The first session is focused on the intake process where we might review any relevant history you may chose to share, as well what has brought you to counselling. When booking online you are required to complete an intake form which will support the process of getting to know you.

What is your COVID protocol/policy?

At this time masks are optional based on the choice of the clinician and individual. You are not required to wear a mask to attend in-person sessions. It is encouraged if you are feeling unwell that you make accommodations to your appointment to meet your own needs. This could include, transitioning to a virtual session, masking for that particular session or cancelling within the 24- hour window.
