About Me
My name is Kaitlyn Power (she/her/hers), I completed my Masters of Social Work (MSW) from Western University, I am a Registered Social Worker (RSW) with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers (OCSWSSW) and a member of the Ontario Association of Social Workers (OASW).
I have been in clinical practice since 2015 and have worked in various therapeutic environments including the non-profit sector, in-patient treatment and private practice. I have experience working with teens and adults, offering individual and group-based counselling. My primary area of experience and training is supporting and working alongside individuals who have experienced various forms of trauma and/or have been diagnosed with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) or Complex Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (C-PTSD).
I also have experience working with individuals who may be navigating the complexities of mental health and wellness, including chronic stress, anxiety or depression, disordered eating, addiction, grief, personality disorders, chronic or persistent pain as well as concussions or traumatic brain injury.
